Vicky Pattison jokes that she won't be sent to Sunderland as Masterchef panhaggerty impresses

Vicky Pattison cooked up a Newcastle-favourite for Masterchef judges - and joked she was worried she would be banished to Sunderland if it failed to impress.

The reality TV star proved she is a dab hand in the kitchen this week by making into tonight's Masterchef final. And the Geordie Shore star original cooked an original Geordie classic, which won rave reviews from judges Greg Wallace and John Torode.

Vicky's beef and hit the spot, leaving the 31-year-old presenter thrilled that she did her home town proud.

A beaming Greg said: "It's a very simply plate, but I can't argue with delicious. There is no arguing with delicious, is there?"

A 'proud as punch' Vicky joked that she feared she would be locked out of Newcastle if she served up a substandard panhaggerty. "If it was rubbish I'd be like barred, crying, sitting in Sunderland," laughed Vicky, who takes on Olympic gold medal-winning longjumper Greg Rutherford and ex-West Ham footballer Neil Ruddock in tonight's final.

Speaking to The Mirror, Vicky revealed her worries ahead of the grand final.

She said she is concerned she would "lose my head", adding: "We have all seen that I have the potential to just run round the kitchen like a headless chicken."

See Vicky in the Celebrity Masterchef final tonight on BBC One at 8.30pm.
