Vicky Pattison breaks down in tears in toilet as she shares fertility journey

Vicky Pattison has bravely opened up about her egg-freezing journey - revealing she recently broke down in tears in a toilet.

The Wallsend born former reality star, 35, shared a selection of photos of her procedures, tests and emotional moments which she caught on camera. She said she had a scan at London Women's Clinic to check that her ovaries were responding to hormone injections.

Vicky was told she had "chubby ovaries," which she was thrilled about. She said the last week on her hormone treatment hadn't been "as bad as she anticipated" and that her "body seems to be responding to the medication".

Sharing a photo of a collection of needles she wrote: "A week... what a milestone." The following photo was of her in tears, with the words: "But I'd be lying if I said it had been plain sailing."

"Like everything in life, a positive mindset is important. I have found, as sickening as I sound, that keeping a bright and positive mindset is imperative to this experience being as smooth and stress-free as possible.

"Anything in life is what you make it. But regardless of how positive you try to be, some moments are just going to punch you in the d***.

"There just are going to be some moments that are really hard and that's ok - you're pumping your body full of hormones, you're building your hopes up, you're putting so much pressure on yourself... feelings of sadness, stress and overwhelm are bound to happen. So when they do - just be kind to yourself and do something for you."

Posting a photo of herself in tears, she told fans she had hidden in the toilet to cry, reports The Mirror. "I have taken to hiding in the downstairs bathroom and sobbing my t*** off. I like to fully break down in private. Just my personal preference," she wrote.

In January, Vicky found out she had a cyst on her ovary which meant her journey to becoming a mum was put on hold. She later told fans she was going to freeze her eggs after admitting she "wasn't mentally ready for kids".
