Liverpool boss Vicky Jepson says her players performed very well against Charlton Women in their 4-0 demolition of their fellow Championship side - but have to continue to get better.
Goals from Jade Bailey, Kirsty Linnett and a brace from Rachel Furness saw Liverpool take home the three points comfortably to move on to seven points from their opening three matches.
But in order to return to the Women’s Super League at the first time of asking by being promoted this season, Jepson knows that the Reds must improve once more.
She exclusively told the ECHO at full-time: "Every game is an important game - we treat every game as a cup final and we want the three points, so today with four goals and a clean sheet, that is something that can make a manager smile.
"It could have been a lot more but we always want more goals - we are greedy like that. That is what wins games.
"I am happy that it was four and Charlton gave us more of a challenge than London Bees did [in their last game, which was a 0-3 win]. Charlton were so relentless in their pressing and how they were organised.
"They played a back five and that is a different challenge and that made it difficult to make those opportunities.
"We have faced it three times now so we have to possess the ball calmly and with confidence and a clear plan. We have done that in every game so far and today we took those opportunities."
Liverpool were relegated to the second division last season, but Jepson insists that there is no pressure on her players to return to the top flight.
She added: "Honestly, there’s no pressure because we are not listening or looking outside of our own circle.
"It is about us and when we come back in on Tuesday, we will be looking at Coventry and no one else, because they are our next target."
Kirsty Linnett, who came on a substitute with only 10 minutes remaining in the game to score her first goal of the season, reiterated the thoughts of her manager.
She said: "We are just taking one game at a time and our focus is only on three points and then we move onto the next one to maintain the winning mentality.
"Our shot-to-goal ratio was better today, but can we create more and score more and push on?
"It’s all about setting our standards and making sure we push on from there. No one deserves to get promoted - you have to earn it.
"Our long-term goal is to get promoted but we are focusing on one game at a time and making sure that we don’t slip up.
"It’s really tight in this league and it could come down to goal difference - everyone has a role to play and every team we come up against is going to be tough to crack.
"There are some very good teams in this league and it just shows how women’s football has come on with the depth of talent.
"Last year was upsetting in the way that it happened but it was out of our hands in the end. Now we just need to keep get three points on the board and not slip up."
Liverpool face Coventry next in the league. That match will take place on Sunday, before they face Manchester United in the FA WSL Cup a week on Wednesday.
Leicester City are then their next opponents in the league, with the Foxes also having made a good start to the season.
