Pregnant woman returns to find 'vicious' note left on car with scratch down side

A pregnant woman is dismayed after returning to her car after a day at work to find someone had hit her new car but specifically avoided leaving contact details for her to get in touch.

Anne-Marie Burke, from County Fermanagh, in Northern Ireland, had finished her day's work in the Erneside shopping centre in Enniskillen, when she found the note alongside a scratch in her new car.

The note had been written by a person who had apparently hit her white BMW X5 in the carpark of the centre.

But rather than noting down their details for her to get in contact with them, they went on to explain why they wouldn’t be doing so.

“I hit the back of your car because it was so badly parked,” the note read.

“I’m only leaving this note because people are watching and they think I’m leaving my name and address.”

Speaking to MyFermanagh, Anne-Marie said the damage wasn’t too bad, but the note was “quite vicious and horrible”.

“I didn’t think it was very nice,” she said.

“I’m not cheeky and wouldn’t take up two spaces or anything like that.

“To think that people were watching you and would go to the hassle of writing a note to blame me for the fact that you obviously can’t park, and then hit my vehicle and just drove off.”

While she said she probably wouldn’t have called them anyway, as it was only a small mark, she was annoyed with the way they had written the note.

“I thought it was a bit mean.”

Anne-Marie added: “There’s no security cameras inside the carpark unfortunately but I wanted to share it as the security in the centre may be able to help me if anyone had seen the vehicle at the time."
