A Victorian woman who admitted killing a baby has been granted bail to reappear before court later this month.
Melissa Arbuckle on Tuesday faced Melbourne Magistrates Court, where she pleaded guilty to one count of infanticide.
Magistrate Donna Bakos granted the Morwell woman bail to reappear before the Victorian Supreme Court for a directions hearing on December 21.
"This is an extraordinarily tragic event and it's tragic for many, many people," Ms Bakos said.
