Victoria's corruption watchdog will hold public hearings into alleged misconduct in the state's public transport sector.
The Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission will examine allegations of serious corruption in the tendering, procurement and management of major contracts with V/Line and Metro Trains.
IBAC Commissioner Robert Redlich QC said he would look at whether current senior public officials had improperly influenced the awarding of contracts.
The hearings are to begin on October 26 and will live-streamed.
