The woman accused of killing her aunt, greyhound trainer Karen Leek, may have an intellectual disability.
Jessie Moore's lawyers have told a hearing in Melbourne Magistrates Court that they're awaiting further reports into the young woman, charged with the 69-year-old's murder.
Moore, who was 25 years old and heavily pregnant at the time of her arrest, may have her case fast-tracked to the Supreme Court.
Lawyer Sally Vardy said she wanted to have more information about Moore's possible intellectual disability before any decision to have it proceed straight to the higher court.
Two assessments are scheduled in December and the results of a neuropsych report are due days before Christmas.
There was no mention during Tuesday's hearing of Moore's child, which was due to be born just eight days after her first court appearance in June.
Moore is accused of murdering Ms Leek at Devon Meadows on May 25 this year.
The greyhound trainer's body was found the following morning.
Moore is due to face court again on December 17.
