Vic COVID-19 outbreak, lockdown by numbers

SNAPSHOT OF VICTORIA'S CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK:

NEW CASES

* 1763 new locally-acquired cases of COVID-19

* Four deaths: two men in their 80s and 60s from Whittlesea and Whitehorse, as well as two women in their 70s and 80s from Hume and Banyule

* Death toll from the current outbreak: 57

* Total active cases: 14,368

* Of the latest cases in metropolitan Melbourne:

- 681 in the city's northern suburbs

- 514 in western suburbs.

- 370 in southeast suburbs

- 108 in eastern suburbs

* 86 cases in regional Victoria including: 16 in Greater Geelong, 15 in Mitchell Shire, 14 in Shepparton, and nine in Latrobe

* 62,189 test results were processed on Monday

VACCINATIONS

* 35,253 vaccine doses on Monday at state-run hubs

* 83.2 per cent of eligible Victorians aged 16 and up have received their first jab, while 53 per cent are double-vaccinated

HOSPITALISATIONS

* 517 people in hospital, 101 of whom are in intensive care, including 66 on a ventilator

EXPOSURE SITES

* More than 520, including an aged care home in Hastings and New Gisborne gym
