Viaplay Cup clashes will see Albion Rovers miss Lowland League games

A clash between the Viaplay Cup group stages and the Lowland League fixtures will see Albion Rovers miss the first three games of the season.

The Cliftonhill club's league opener at Linlithgow Rose on Saturday, July 22, and visits by Cowdenbeath and Edinburgh University on July 25 and 29 have been shelved because of the clash.

Rovers are already down to play at Annan on July 22, and host Dunfermline Athletic and Kilmarnock in the League Cup, because they competed in last season's League Two.

Rovers kick-off their League Cup campaign at Raith Rovers on Tuesday, July 18.
