Broxburn Athletic have signed midfielder David Greenhill from Lowland League outfit Spartans.
The 34-year-old becomes the fourth new arrival of the off-season and will bring a wealth of experience to the East of Scotland Premier Division side.
Greenhill enjoyed a lengthy spell in the SPFL having started his career at Clyde and Alloa Athletic before tallying around 200 appearances for Berwick Rangers during a six-year stint with the Borders outfit.
He then joined East Stirlingshire where he spent three seasons before a five year stay in the capital with Spartans where he racked up 44 goals in 148 appearances.
The midfielder told Broxburn's website: "I’m looking forward to a new challenge with Broxburn Athletic. Hopefully, I will be able to use my experience and knowledge to help the team challenge in a strong league.
"It was really difficult to move on from Spartans but I can see the potential at Broxburn and I’m excited to get started.”
Athletic boss Chris Townsley added: "We are delighted that David has agreed to join Broxburn Athletic. Signing a player of his calibre and experience is great for the club.
"David will bring professionalism and a winning mentality; he will also set high standards for everyone both on the training pitch and in matches.
“He has a track record of contributing goals and assists from midfield which we think, along with his range of passing, will be vital for us this season.
"Having David at the club is going to be really beneficial for our younger players. They will see the level of dedication, fitness and desire to improve that they need to have to do well in the game, they will learn a lot from working with him.”
