Veteran cue sport administrator, HS Bhogal, passes away

NEW DELHI: Veteran cue sport administrator HS Bhogal, who trained some of the country's finest cueists like Sandeep Gulati, Nihit Bhatia, Keerath Bhandal and Manan Chandra, among others, has passed away after suffering a fall. He was serving as the joint secretary of the Delhi and Billiards Snooker Association (DBSA) in his last assignment.

His career as a sports administrator spanned for over four decades. He was best remembered for coaching Delhi's budding cueists who later made it big at both the national and international levels.

"It's a great loss to the cue sports fraternity," mourned DBSA president Vijay Goel. DBSA secretary Ravi Tandon added, "He was a source of inspiration for the young cueists." He was instrumental in reviving the North Zone school boys billiards and snooker tournament.
