Veteran Bollywood actress Shashikala passes away at 88

Shashikala Om Prakash Saigal

Mumbai: Veteran actress Shashikala Om Prakash Saigal passed away on Sunday at the age of 88.

Shashikala has featured in over 100 films, essaying several pivotal parts.

In 2007, she was honoured with the prestigious Padma Shri award for her contribution to cinema. She was a disciple of Mother Teresa and led an elusive life.
