'Very happy memories': Paddy McGuinness revisits childhood home in Bolton

He might be a household name to millions, but Paddy McGuinness has not forgotten his Bolton roots.

The Top Gear host and Phoenix Nights star revisited his childhood home during a visit to the town yesterday (Friday).

In a touching Instagram post, Bolton-born Paddy recalled happy memories with his mum while growing up in the terraced house in Auburn Street, Daubhill.

He posted: "Paid a visit to my old house.

"Me and my Mum lived in this two up two down housing association terrace all throughout my childhood and teenage years.

"Very happy memories here, although it definitely wasn’t double glazed back then.

"The mighty Auburn St, Bolton."

Paddy has previously spoken of his love for his hometown, and even brought the Top Gear crew along for a 24-hour car challenge last year.

He and co-stars Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris posed for pictures with fans before filming in the spring sunshine outside Bolton Town Hall.

Paddy now lives in Cheshire with his wife Christine and their three children.

The 48-year-old moved away from Bolton in 2015 after being driven mad by pranksters continuously ringing his doorbell in the middle of the night
