Billy Connolly, 78, said on his emotional documentary It's Been a Pleasure on Monday night that he has made peace with death.
Speaking about his Parkinson's disease, Billy admitted: "It's got me, it will get me and it will end me, but that's okay with me."
"I am not defined by it."
His wife Pamela Stephenson said his health is good aside from the obvious, and moving to Florida has been great for him.
He said drawing has given him a "new lease of life" and he is also writing his autobiography.
Pamela said: "What he wants to do is take it easy, he wants to fish on his dock in Florida, and enjoy the sunshine, watch television and drink tea and eat biscuits, that's what he wants to do."
A the documentary ended, Billy told his fans: "It's been a pleasure talking to you all those years.
"I couldn't have done anything without you, you have been magnificent."
As his showbiz pals and fans paid tribute to him, Billy said: "I am very touched.
"But remember, I am very happy where I am and it's because of you, and what you made my life.
"I've got no complaints at all. "
Stars including Elton John, Paul McCartney, Whoopi Goldberg, and Russell Brand paid their respects to Billy in the touching documentary that recapped his long career.
