Charlton boss Lee Bowyer has claimed that his side's upcoming opponents are on the same level quality wise as Championship leaders Leeds United.
The Whites lead the way at the top of the second tier thanks to a convincing win at Blackburn.
Marcelo Bielsa's men are one point clear of second-place West Brom with five games left after the Baggies dispatched Hull City at the Hawthorns.
But Brentford are far from done in the automatic promotion race, with five straight wins leaving them five points behind West Brom.
Despite Leeds leading the way at the top, Bowyer believes Brentford are as good as their Championship rivals.
“They are a very, very good side,” said Bowyer. “I would now put them up there alongside Leeds.
“I went to the Wigan game to watch them live and they are very good – their movement is very good, they are very clinical and in the final third they have got people who can hurt you left, right and centre.
“The front three and midfield two can hurt you every time they go forward, they looked like they would score every time they went forward.
“They move the ball well and because they have so much possession they don’t give many chances away. You can see why they are pushing for the top two spaces. It’s going to be a tough game for us.
“Off the bench they are strong. They brought [Josh] Da Silva on, who is very good. They freshen it up well. The quality of player they are bringing off the bench is still very high. We’re going to have to be at it tomorrow, for sure.”
