Dublin rap artists Versatile have hit out at a top music venue for asking for proof of vaccination for an upcoming gig.
The Ringsend rapper duo, who are known for their explicit Twitter rants, shared a screengrab of a promotional post for FYNCH's gig.
The Drimnagh hip-hop artist will be playing a socially distanced gig on Wednesday at The Button Factory in the city centre.
The post on the venue's Facebook page said: "All attendees must have proof of full vaccination or that you've previously recovered from Covid in the past six months."
Versatile slammed the guidelines on Twitter saying: "Sounds like top craic this gig anyways.
"Don’t know this artist but f*****g hell, mate, bitta self-respect.
"There’s no way Versatile will be having proof of vaccination for any of our shows this year and the years to come.
"F**k The Button Factory anyways."
One person replied saying all the shows they were due to play this year would require proof of vaccination.
To which the pair replied with a screengrab of a BBC article and said: "Ticketmaster won’t be implicating these measures and any venue that tries will be sent on their way we will find a different venue handy, f**k the lot of them."
A quick search of the Ticketmaster website reveals that the company "does not set policies around safety/entry requirements, which include vaccines and/or testing protocols".
The statement goes on their help page goes on to say: "Ticketmaster continues to work with event organizers on all COVID safety measures and it will be up to each event organizer to set future requirements."
Subsequently, now every single one of Versatile's tweets past and present have disappeared off their Twitter page which is still active.
