Vernon Kay voted off I’m a Celebrity missing out on final two

Vernon Kay is the final contestant to be eliminated from I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, missing out on a spot in the final two.

The TV presenter placed third in Friday (4 December) night’s grand final, leaving Giovanna Fletcher and Jordan North to battle it out to be named King or Queen of the Castle.

Earlier on in the final, Kay took part in his last ever Bushtucker Trial, the Table of Torment, where he had to lie shackled to a wooden table while being covered in rotten fruit, maggots and cockroaches.

The fight to be named 2020 I’m a Celebrity champion is set to be one of the closest in the show’s 20-season history, with Ladbrokes predicting Fletcher to just inch ahead of North and take the crown.

Kay faced the Table of Torment challenge (Rex Features)

She is 4/7 favourite to win, while North is 2/1.

However, Betfair predicts that the pair are neck and neck at 11/10 each.
