Vernon Davis thinks Redskins can be a ‘really good team’

A veteran like Vernon Davis has seen all sorts of things at the NFL level and knows how to analyze the outlook of a team.

So when Davis says he’s thinking big things for the Washington Redskins in 2019, it’s probably best to take note.

Davis caught up with Katelyn Davis of the Washington Times and offered the following about next season:

“I expect us to be a really good team this year because of the guys that we have, we have a great nucleus of guys who are not just great football players, but great people. If you can come together in the locker room you can come together anywhere and that’s what it takes.”

Chemistry is indeed a big part of a winning equation and the Redskins had some interesting hiccups in this regard with players like Zach Brown and D.J. Swearinger.

But if Davis has tossed a stamp of approval on the current locker room, the vibes have to be good so far.

Davis, 35, returns for another season in the same role as last year, where he’ll flank Jordan Reed and help mentor along guys like Jeremy Sprinkle and Donald Parham.
