Vermouth
The Ethicurean restaurant in Bristol is one of the biggest supporters of vermouth, making its own and holding regular tasting sessions at the restaurant and around the country.
Next session is at Latitude festival, 17-20 July, in Bristol after the summer.
Gin
The gin resurgence continues. Shake Rattle and Stir, one of the capital's best drinking tour groups, has just launched the London Gin Experience. Starting at a bracing 10:45am, the tour group is taken to two distilleries, before an afternoon of cocktail making.
15 July and then every Saturday during the summer, £60.
Tequila
Santa Chupitos describes itself as a "tequila haven". This Liverpool underground cocktail bar is open till (very) late, presumably to accommodate the raucous dancing tequila inspires. Check its Facebook page for its next tasting session.
Rum
Based in a Grade I listed former docklands store, Rum&Sugar is a bar and restaurant that honours its heritage, holding tutored tastings and rum and food matching.
