A Liverpool restaurant will reopen as a bar and bistro after it was taken over.
Verdant in Allerton is now under new management, and will soon change to Bloom Bar & Bistro.
It will close its doors on September 22 before undergoing building work.
The venue on Allerton Road has been taken over by new management with mother and daughter duo Vicky and Charlotte McGregor buying it back in May 2019.
The pair have continued to run it as Verdant, welcoming many baby showers, private events and dining guests, while planning their renovation behind the scenes.
The restaurant will then reopen on September 27 after undergoing a facelift as the new Bloom Bar & Bistro.
General manager and co-owner Charlotte McGregor told BusinessLive: “Taking over Verdant has been incredible so far but we really want to put our own stamp on the venue.
“We’re known for hosting the best baby showers and our delicious food and drinks and that won’t change. We will however, be giving the venue a refreshing makeover, making it lighter, brighter and even more welcoming.
"We’ll also be adding some more floral touches in keeping with our popular ceiling fixture.
“The menu will also change - we’re keeping classic staples such as our Sunday roast and popular steak dish, but we’ll be adding in some lunchtime options for those who want a casual lunch. There will be a mix of small plates and larger dishes to suit all occasions.
“We can’t wait to reopen as Bloom and welcome our existing and new customers.”
According to the firm, as well as a new menu incorporating brunch and lunch, there will also be a refreshed evening menu that still include staples such as steak and chips and the signature burger, however, new small and large plates will be added including lighter, healthier dishes.
