Venues confirmed for Ulster Club Hurling Championship finals

The Ulster Council have confirmed the venues for next weekend’s Senior and Intermediate Hurling finals.

The Senior decider between defending champions Slaughtneil and Dunloy will take place at the Athletic Grounds in Armagh on Sunday, December 4 at 1.30pm.

Corrigan Park in West Belfast will host the Intermediate decider between Armagh champions Middletown and Liatroim of Down on Saturday, December 3 at 1pm.

Slaughtneil romped to a facile 19-point victory over Portaferry in Corrigan Park last Sunday to set up a fascinating rematch with Antrim champions Dunloy, who defeated Cushendall at the Belfast venue last month.

However, despite winning four successive Antrim titles, the Cuchullain’s have yet to make their mark on the provincial stage and have lost their last three meetings against Slaughtneil, including last year’s semi-final at the Athletic Grounds.

The Ulster winners will face the Galways champions in the All-Ireland SHC semi-final with St Thomas' and Loughrea meeting in this weekend's replay. The All-Ireland semi-final is scheduled to be played the weekend of December 17/18.
