Venues announced for Ulster Club Football Championship Finals

The venues have been confirmed for next weekend’s Ulster Senior and Intermediate football finals.

The eagerly-anticipated clash between Kilcoo and Glen will take place at the Athletic Grounds on Sunday, December 11 at 1pm.

The Armagh City venue also hosted last season’s semi-final meeting between the sides with Kilcoo winning 1-11 to 0-11 after extra-time.

The Magpies went on to defeat Derrygonnelly in the Ulster final before winning the All-Ireland crown back in February.

The Down kingpins have looked impressive in their two wins in this season’s Ulster Championship. They had 10 points to spare over Ballybay in the quarter-final before defeating Enniskillen Gaels by 11 at the Athletic Grounds on Saturday night.

On Sunday, Glen joined them in the provincial final after coming through a tough battle with Cargin in Omagh.

A late Danny Tallon penalty gave Malachy O’Rourke side a five-point winning margin, but they were pushed all the way by the Antrim champions.

In the Intermediate decider, Tyrone side Galbally face Monaghan champions Corduff with former inter-county managers in charge of both teams.

Former Derry manager Paddy Crozier is at the helm in Galbally along with ex-Tyrone star Joe McMahon while former Monaghan manager Seamus ‘Banty’ McEnaney is over his native Corduff.

Galbally defeated Dungloe by five points on Sunday at Celtic Park while Corduff edged Castlerahan in Crossmaglen 0-9 to 1-5.

Páirc Esler in Newry will host the Intermediate final on Saturday, December 10 at 6pm.
