Police are warning residents about a series of vehicle thefts last month on the Near North Side.
In each case, a vehicle was left parked and running with the keys in the ignition when a thief got in and drove away, according to a community alert from Chicago police.
The incidents were reported at the following times and locations in the Gold Coast, Streeterville and Old Town:
- In the evening March 30 in the 1200 block of North LaSalle Drive;
- In the evening March 30 in the first block of West Ontario Street;
- In the afternoon March 30 in the 200 block of East Illinois Street;
- In the afternoon March 29 in the first block of East Grand Avenue; and
- In the afternoon March 19 in the first block of East Pearson Street.
