
Chicago police are warning residents of four motor vehicle thefts reported in June and July in Ukrainian Village on the Near West Side.
In each incident, victims parked their vehicles legally and returned to discover them missing, according to a community alert from Chicago police. There were no signs of forced entry in any of the incidents.
The thefts happened June 29 and July 3 in the 2000 block of West Thomas Street, July 5 in the 1000 block of North Winchester Avenue and July 15 in the 900 block of North Leavitt Street, police said. The vehicles were stolen at all hours of the day.
