
Police are warning residents about a series of vehicles thefts since last month on the West and Near West sides.
In each case, a suspect drove off in a vehicle that was parked with the keys inside or left running while the driver delivered food, according to a community alert from Chicago police.
The theft occurred:
- About 9:10 p.m. April 16 in the 100 block of North Aberdeen Street;
- About 6:30 p.m. April 5 in the 1100 block of West Madison Street;
- Between 4 p.m. April 3 and 10:40 p.m. April 4 in the 1100 block of South Laflin Street;
- About 9 p.m. April 3 in the 900 block of West Randolph Street;
- About 7 a.m. April 3 in the 2400 block of West Chicago Avenue;
- Between 6 p.m. April 1 and 12:30 p.m. April 2 in the 1400 block of South Ashland Avenue;
- About 11:55 p.m. March 28 in the 2600 block of West Augusta Boulevard;
- About 9:30 p.m. March 27 in the 900 block of West Huron Street;
- About 6:30 p.m. March 27 in the 3100 block of West Chicago Avenue; and
- About 7 p.m. March 24 in the 1900 block of West Walnut Street.
