The Roads Policing Unit of Merseyside Police used pre-emptive tactics in stopping a vehicle in Liverpool suspected of being used in crime.
The vehicle was stopped by officers on Friday night (August 20), and a search of the vehicle recovered a significant quantity of cash.
Police officers tweeted later following their discovery: "We’ve not had chance to count it yet, but believed to be in excess of £60,000."
