Vehicle hits bridge in Glasgow causing train chaos

A vehicle has hit a bridge in Glasgow - causing delays for commuters.

The motor collided with a bridge between Cathcart and Muire, leading to delays and cancellations to train services in the city.

ScotRai l warned of the delays in a tweet sent at 10.55am this morning.

It is unclear if anyone has been hurt in the incident.

The tweet read: "NEW: Due to a road vehicle colliding with a bridge between Cathcart and Muirend, services between Glasgow Central and Neilston will be delayed or revised.

"Please keep an eye on our app and JourneyCheck for live updates."

British Transport Police said they had not been contacted in relation to the bridge collision.

The Scottish Ambulance Service and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for comment.
