Fortnite leaks have been a little bit hit or miss these days, but we now have our first look at season 6, week 5 challenges from leaker @Daminerr, marking the midway point of the season as we’re about to start the Fortnitemares Halloween event.
We have at least one old favorite challenge returning, and all the challenges are split between ones that are vehicle based, and traditional damage dealing ones. Here’s what allegedly on the docket:
Free
- Record a speed of 25 or more in front of different radar signs (0/5)
- Jump through flaming hoops with a shopping kart or ATK (0/5)
- Deal damage with Tactical Shotguns to opponents (0/200)(HARD)
Battle Pass
- Eliminate an opponent closer than 5m away (0/1)
- Deal damage with SMGs to opponents (0/500)
- Minigun eliminations (0/2)(HARD)
- Deal damage with standard pistols to opponents (0/200)(HARD)

So, what to make of these?
Only one is truly new, where we have to go fast in front of different radar signs, which will probably be added to the game in a patch this week, if this challenge is indeed going live. I have no idea how fast vehicles normally go, but 25 doesn’t sound all that fast, so I guess we’ll see how hard this is. I’m guessing the radar signs will be on roads, not in the middle of nowhere, so you may have to stay on more traditional paths for a change.
Flaming Hoops are apparently slated to return, and that was one of my favorite “fun” challenges of last season so I’m glad to see them back. But the wording of this challenge seems dated, as surely you can also jump through hoops in the new Quadcrasher vehicle, which I am assuming is the reason for all these vehicle-based challenges in the first place. It’s more maneuverable than the ATK, so I would think this is your go-to for all these challenges if you can get your hands on one.

Again, we have seen challenges change dramatically from early leaks so far this season, so take these with a grain of salt. But after the introduction of the Quadcrasher, a vehicle week does seem like it could be in the cards, so get ready to start your engines.
