A section of the M74 has been closed after a vehicle fire on the motorway.
Emergency services raced to the scene shortly before 9pm having been alerted to the incident between junctions 6 and 7, southbound, near to Chatelherault Country Park in Hamilton.
It is unclear at this stage if anyone has been injured in the blaze.
Traffic Scotland have advised: "M74 southbound is closed southbound J6 - J7 due to a vehicle fire.
"Emergency services are at the scene."
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were unable to provide any details at the time.
