Fresh off a winless preseason, the Detroit Lions’ odds to win Super Bowl LIV got better. Really.

According to the sportsbook BetMGM, as tracked by SportsBook Wire, the line for the Lions to win their first Super Bowl improved from +10000 to +8000 over the last couple of weeks. It reflects an influx of money predicting the Lions to pull off the improbable.

Several other teams with long odds saw their line improve, too. It likely indicates people hoping for the big payoff throwing a little money at the longshots.
