Vegas thinks the Rockets could win the NBA title in 2020

The Houston Rockets were out of the playoffs way earlier than they hoped, losing in the Western Conference Semifinals to the Golden State Warriors.

The Rockets came up short yet again the 2018-19 playoffs, despite being the team that was billed as being the best suited to dethrone the Warriors — turns out, that was what the Toronto Raptors came to do, as they beat the two-time defending champions on Thursday night.

But, that doesn’t mean the Rockets are out of it yet coming up next season, even despite rumors that major trades could be afoot of stars Chris Paul and Clint Capela.

According to the SuperbookUSA, the Rockets have the third-best odds of winning the NBA title next season.

Golden State, at +280, sits atop the odds at Caesars Sportsbook to win the 2019-20 NBA title. The Los Angeles Lakers are next at +500, followed by the Milwaukee Bucks (+600) and LA Clippers (+600).

DraftKings and FanDuel also each had the Bucks listed as the favorites on Friday afternoon.
