The Oakland Raiders have been one of the busiest teams in the league this offseason. They have made a dozen moves in free agency and have traded for the league’s best receiver in Antonio Brown. From a talent perspective alone, they are significantly better this season than where they were last year.
However, Vegas sportsbooks don’t see the Raiders improving much in 2019. According to CG Technology, the Raiders over/under for wins next season is set at six. Only the Cardinals (5) and Dolphins (5) are projected to have fewer losses next season.
While the Raiders have made some big moves on offense, it’s the defense that has many worried. They have added Lamarcus Joyner, Vontaze Burfict, and Brandon Marshall, but their pass-rush is still a concern. They do have four picks inside the top-35 picks to fix that, but it’s still likely to be a weakness.
Six wins seems a tad low for this Raiders team, especially with all of their new additions. Expect them to hit the OVER on that total in 2019.
