Vegas’ projected win total for Rams after 2019 NFL draft

The Los Angeles Rams didn’t have many holes on their roster entering the 2019 NFL draft and they came out of it with several instant-impact rookies. There’s a chance none of them will start, but many of the Rams’ draft picks will contribute in some way.

Because their roster was already loaded with talent, there wasn’t much room to grow in terms of their Super Bowl odds. Unless they somehow landed a player like Ed Oliver or Nick Bosa – which was never going to happen – their Super Bowl odds and projected win totals were not going to improve much.

The Westgate Superbook in Las Vegas released its over/under win totals for every team coming out of the draft and the Rams’ number stayed put at 10.5. That’s tied for the second-highest total in the NFL behind the Patriots (11). The Chiefs and Saints also come in at 10.5.

Last season, the Rams won 13 games. The year before, they went 11-5. It’s hard to imagine them winning fewer than 11 games next season, even with a difficult schedule. They just have too much talent on both sides of the ball and a head coach who’s only lost back-to-back regular-season games once.

Taking the over for Los Angeles seems like a fairly safe bet, all things considered.
