Vegan sausage rolls being sold for just 33p - and they're the 'best thing ever'

Greggs' vegan sausage rolls proved so popular this year that the bakery giant's profits soared to above £1 billion for the first time ever

And now Iceland are also getting in on the action, having just announced the launch of their new fully vegan No Porkies sausage rolls.

Costing just £2 for a pack of six , they work out at 33p per sausage roll - 67% less than Greggs', although you will of course have to bake them in the oven yourself.

Baked from frozen in 25-27 minutes, the savoury treat has the perfect ratio of seasoned vegan sausage mince to flaky pastry.

Answering the pastry prayers of vegans and flexitarians across the nation, if you're concerned that the sausage rolls won't taste as good as the original vegan pastry, it seems that Iceland does know its stuff when it comes to plant-based products.

Happy vegan customers have been flooding the retailer with praises over social media about the rest of their plant-based range, including their 'No Bull' beef burgers (£2) and meatballs (£2) , No Porkies sausages (£2) , and No Chick chicken strips (£3.50).

But Iceland aren't the only ones launching their own vegan sausage roll, with Tesco having also announced the arrival of its own 75p vegan sausage roll this year, in response to Greggs' offerings soaring popularity.
