Discount supermarket chain Aldi has just launched a range of vegan ready meals - which are on sale for less than £2 each.
The range launched in branches across the UK this week at £1.99 for a 400g serving.
The range, called 'I Am Vegan', includes red pepper and mango curry, Thai yellow curry and lastly, smoky jackfruit chili, reports The Mirror.
The red pepper and mango curry includes red pepper, mango, black turtle beans and sugar snap peas in a coconut curry sauce made with ginger, garlic and coriander, as well as brown rice.
The Thai yellow curry has aubergine, red peppers, lentils and spring onions in a Thai coconut curry sauce with brown and black rice.
The smoky jackfruit chilli is red peppers and red onion in a smoky chipotle sauce with brown rice.
Cans of jackfruit for £1.19 (400g) are also in Aldi stores this week, which has gained popularity for its meat-like texture and how it soaks up herbs, spices and flavourings to create meat alternatives.
Canned young jackfruit in water makes a substitute for pulled pork and even chicken nuggets when battered, breaded and baked.
