Vegan activist bursts into a seafood restaurant yelling about a 'fish holocaust'

If you haven’t already had chance to sit down and watch Seaspiracy, the chances are you’ll have heard about the impact it’s had.

People all over the world have vowed to give up eating fish after watching the tell-all documentary, which unveiled many of the inhumane practices that go into sourcing our fish.

However, few people have gone as far as one group of vegan protesters, who recently burst into a fish restaurant in Perth, Australia, and began accusing diners of being ‘animal abusers.’

The group was led by renowned vegan activist Tash Peterson, who is known for conducting viral publicity stunts, in a bid to stop others from eating meat and fish.

Tash was filmed climbing onto tables and yelling about the ‘fish holocaust’ as others in the restaurant booed her and told her to get down.

“Right now, in this moment, there are billions of fish, dolphins, whales and other marine animals being ripped from the ocean, in massive trawler nets and they are suffocating to death,” the 26-year-old shouted, adding, “this is the largest holocaust in history.”

Tash was then approached by a man, who told her to ‘shut up,’ before the outspoken activist threatened to report him to the police if he touched her.

Meanwhile, other members of the group held a sign telling people to watch Seaspiracy, while chanting, “fish feel pain, just like us!”

Unsurprisingly, people have been left divided over the group’s campaign tactics, with some praising Tash for her efforts.

“Great work Tash and I know the animals would be very thankful for you,” one follower commented on Instagram.

“You have clearly brought so much awareness to this fish massacre that needs to be abolished. Can’t wait to see the spike in views of the documentary Seaspiracy!”

However, another, less approving follower, commented: “Honestly this is just so disrespectful... let people live their life and enjoy a meal with their friends or family without being yelled at. This way of ‘protesting’ is not ever going to make anyone want to go vegan.”

Other protests have seen Tash storming into McDonald's in blood-covered aprons and running onto football pitches in the middle of games.
