The nation is preparing to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day, with the Queen set to make a historic address to mark the occasion.
On May 8, 1945, Londoners packed Trafalgar Square to celebrate the end of six years of war.
And although Brits will be under lockdown for the 75th anniversary on Friday and many events have had to be cancelled, many have been adapted and are going ahead.
These include a two-minute silence at 11am, a toast to the heroes of World War Two at 3pm on doorsteps across the nation and an address by the Queen at 9pm.
