VCT champion says they’re not even in their final form yet

Despite Paper Rex winning VALORANT Masters Toronto, PatMen says the team has yet to reach its final form.

PatMen joined the Pacific giants in March 2025, and within such a short time, PRX have managed to grab their first-ever VCT title. This is after ending up as runners-up in two previous VCT matches—third time is the charm.

In an interview with Lifestyle.inq, the Filipino player said, “I think we’re still not in our top form, even though we won Masters Toronto.”

“We recognized our weaknesses and how to improve on them day by day. We had a rough start during stage 1, but we’ll try our best to make sure to have a better one this stage 2,” he added.

This was PatMen’s answer when he asked what he had to say about the competition now that PRX has finally won.

The VALORANT meta is always evolving. New agents and maps are added every year, creating new combinations and strategies.

Their “W Gaming” tag has made PRX stand out from other teams. Watching them play is naturally interesting, and the fans love their playstyle, too.

PatMen also mentioned his role in the team: “My place on the team is just making sure everyone is aligned, vibing, and enjoying, because with that, each one of us can play to their fullest potential without any hesitation.”

Paper Rex are playing the VALORANT Esports World Cup 2025, and they have qualified for the Playoffs from Group A, along with BBL Esports, NRG, and FNATIC.

PRX have been top-notch throughout Masters Toronto and are continuing their form in EWC. Having qualified for the quarterfinals (Playoffs), they are only two matches away from reaching the grand final and three matches away from winning EWC 2025.

Right after EWC, PRX will be heading back to Seoul to compete in VCT 2025 Pacific Stage 2, starting from July 15.
