Masters London format explained

Like previous tournaments, Masters London uses two stages:

  • Swiss Stage
  • Playoffs

The Swiss stage has eight teams, and all will be playing best-of-three (BO3) matches, with the top four moving on while the bottom four get eliminated. In the Playoffs, those four teams join the four regional first seeds in a double-elimination bracket.

The Playoffs are mostly best-of-three, but the lower bracket final and grand final are best-of-five (BO5). Riot also confirmed that regional matchups are restricted in the opening Swiss draws, which should help spread out the bracket early.

VCT Masters London prize pool and Championship Points distribution

Masters London has a $1,000,000 prize pool. Riot has also tied the event to Championship Points, which matter for qualification and seeding in the wider 2026 season. Here’s what the prize pool and points distribution look like:

Place Team Prize Points
1st TBD $350,000 8
2nd TBD $200,000 6
3rd TBD $125,000 5
4th TBD $75,000 4
5th-6th TBD $50,000
$50,000

$35,000
9th-10th TBD $25,000

The top six teams at the event get Championship Points, so even teams that miss the title still have something important to play for.
