It was Mick McGraa’s side that would put the first shot on target as a dazzling Adam Smith cut inside from the right wing. The effort was fired straight into keeper James Aspinall’s hands.

The first half would finish level with the hosts creating more dangerous opportunities than their opponents.

At half time, the visitors made the first substitution of the game when Paul Turner was replaced by Kian Makepeace but it was the Motors that had the first shot of the second half when McDonnell fired the ball into the gloves of Aspinall.

Ashcroft would soon make another change for The Ridge when Curtis Poole came on for Jack Arrowsmith. Francis Antoine would come on for The Motors shortly after, replacing Burkey and Jordan Deer would be replaced by Jamie Eaton.

McGraa’s side finished the game in a threatening manner as good shots from McDonnell, Cooper and Antoinne were saved but the full time whistle would ring with the game level to bring an end to Motors’ winning run.
