Vast caravan site and restaurant plans attached to £1.25 million Ayrshire land sale

A huge caravan site plan has been attached to the sale of a plot of land in Ayrshire.

A total of 196 caravan plots can be constructed on the land in Kilwinning.

The 23-acre development on Lochlibo Road is being marketed for £1.25 million.

And the site is based next to Viewfield Manor Leisure Park, a caravan site that features a range of holiday accommodation across dozens of mobile homes.

The freehold is being sold by Christie & Co, Edinburgh and planning permission was granted by North Ayrshire Council in 2012.

A statement from the seller reads: "A great opportunity to purchase land with planning permission in place for 196 caravan plots, complex centre, restaurant and retail units, the site is around 23 acres.

"The land is situated adjacent to Viewfield Manor Leisure Park."

The report added: "The property is located in a rural setting and a popular holiday destination in North Ayrshire close to the holiday resort towns of Troon, Ayr and Prestwick.

"The area is very popular being relatively close to the large population centres of Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Edinburgh.

"Locally the town of Troon has a good range of amenities and boasts the Royal Troon Golf Club, which is a championship course and a venue for the British Open.

"The seafront and coastline is a big draw together with an array of pubs and restaurants to enjoy."
