Celtic misfit Vasilis Barkas could be given a chance to prove his worth in the final week of the season.
John Kennedy has admitted current first choice goalkeeper Scott Bain is suffering from a hand problem.
And that could open the door to a return for the £5m man signed from AEK Athens in the summer window.
Barkas has not lived up to expectations but the home match against St Johnstone on Wednesday followed by a trip to Hibs on Saturday could be the chance he's been waiting for, having not featured since mid-January.
Kennedy revealed: "Scott Bain picked up a finger injury in the previous game against Rangers.
"We’re not taking any risks with that. There’s one or two others, again, who we won’t risk.
"But nothing major, we’re pretty much working with the same squad give or take one or two."
The interim boss hinted that some fringe players may be looked at although Conor Hazard could also be in the frame for the No.1 spot.
The Greek goalie was preferred on the bench last time out at Ibrox however and that could be a hint as to who is the true backup at the present moment.
Kennedy added: "We’ve got two games in the space of three days so we’ll be able to utilise the squad.
"It gives us a chance to look at a few, but at the same time we want to still finish the season off well and with good performances."
