Ralf Rangnick revealed that Manchester United have 'two or three question marks' regarding fitness concerns ahead of Norwich.
Rangnick did not give a definite answer on Raphael Varane, though, who returned to United training earlier this week. Varane sustained a hamstring injury against Atalanta in early November and he was forced off the pitch in that game in Italy.
The centre-back was subsequently ruled out of action for around a month, but his rehabilitation is now almost complete and Varane returned to light work at Carrington earlier this week while it was intended he would make his comeback to full training on Friday.
It is highly unlikely that Rangnick would choose Varane to start against Norwich considering his preparation this week.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka left the Old Trafford pitch on a stretcher after the full-time whistle went against BSC Young Boys. The right-back collided with the advertising boards as the game ended and he was pictured being carried down the tunnel.
“Aaron got two knocks. One on the knee and one on the wrist, so we’ll have to see how this develops by Saturday," Rangnick said after the game and the German, speaking on Friday, explained that he will be subject to a late fitness examination before Norwich.
Anthony Martial is still sidelined with a knee injury and the news of his desire to leave broke on Friday afternoon.
Philippe Lamboley, Martial's agent, confirmed that the forward wants to leave United in search of regular minutes. "Anthony wishes to leave the club in January. He just needs to play. He doesn't want to stay in January and I will speak to the club soon," he said.
