Explaining to Azpilicueta why the Senegal attacker was allowed to stay on the pitch, Shreeves said: "VAR said that in their view it was reckless more than violent."

Mane went on to open the scoring for the Reds when he pounced on a Trevor Chalobah mistake and rounded goalkeeper Eduoard Mendy.
Liverpool doubled their lead when Mohamed Salah finished midway through the first half.
Goals from Mateo Kovacic and Christian Pulisic before the break pulled the Blues level at 2-2.
