Vanessa Feltz recreates her infamous Celebrity Big Brother meltdown

Neatly 20 years later, it seems Vanessa Feltz can now see the funny side of her Celebrity Big Brother meltdown.

The broadcaster, 58, memorably broke down during her stint on the first series of the infamous reality show back in 2001.

She used chalk provided for a task to write words describing her mood, such as “incarcerated,” ,”frustrated” and “restricted,” onto a table and then refused to follow Big Brother’s request that she visit the show’s Diary Room.

With Feltz - and the rest of the UK - now spending her days indoors during the lockdown, the presenter and her partner Ben Ofoedu decided to recreate the memorable moment.

Feltz scrawled words on a table with chalk during CBB

A clip shared on singer Ofoedu’s Twitter account sees him ask his fiancee “You alright there, Feltzy?” as he approaches the star, who is dressed in leopard print in a nod to her Celebrity Big Brother outfit.

His camera then pans to Feltz, who is crouched over a glass table writing another message.

“Why don’t you just eff off?” she says before reading out her message.

“Incarcerated, immolated, immured, isolated,” she says, before continuing: “Stuck here with you, absolutely sick of it - that kind of a thing?”

Ofodeu then quips: “I only wanted a cup of tea.”

Feltz appeared on the original series of Celebrity Big Brother, which was held over just eight days in aid of Comic Relief, alongside the likes of Chris Eubank, Claire Sweeney, Anthea Turner and Boyzone’s Keith Duffy.

Comedian Jack Dee eventually won the competition.
