Vanessa Feltz becomes a town crier

TV personality Vanessa Feltz has turned town crier to encourage deskbound workers to get outside and fall in love with their lunchtimes again. In collaboration with plant-based food pioneers Gosh!, Vanessa hit the streets to ring the ‘lunch bell’.

Flexitarian Vanessa said: “Having a non-stop schedule myself, I’ve been guilty of working through my lunch and realizing at the end of the day I haven’t seen a bit of daylight.”

Caroline Hughes, Marketing Director at Gosh! said: “As children, it was always a must that we stopped for a lunch break to eat, get fresh air and stretch our legs. It’s so important, there’s even a bell for it! Why should things be any different for adults?”

According to new research commissioned by Gosh!, a third of workers in the UK never venture outside their home or workplace during their working day and 92% of workers never spend a full hour outside on their breaks.
