On the one-year anniversary of the tragic helicopter accident that claimed the lives of nine people, including Lakers legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, Vanessa Bryant shared a thoughtful letter she received from one of Gianna’s best friends.
In the touching letter to “Mrs. Bryant,” Gianna’s friend recounts her happy memories of Gigi, and writes that “if I ever become a mom, I hope my daughter turns out exactly as yours did.”
“I will never understand why/how this tragedy could’ve happened to such beautiful, kind and amazing human beings,” Vanessa Bryant wrote in the caption. It still doesn’t seem real. Kob, we did it right. Gigi, you still make mommy proud. I love you!”
