Vande Bharat train to Hyderabad planned

BENGALURU: Indian Railways is mulling a Vande Bharat Express between Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Sources said the train may operate between Bengaluru and Kacheguda in Hyderabad.

A South Central Railway notification on Wednesday said Kacheguda depot is likely to receive a Vande Bharat train to operate to and from Bengaluru.

At present, VB train is operational on Mysuru-Bengaluru-Chennai route. Apart from Kacheguda/Secunderabad, premium trains are likely to be operated on other two routes too: Hubballi and Coimbatore.

Many passengers welcomed the proposal. KN Krishna Prasad, activist and member of NGO Karnataka Railway Vedike, said: “A morning train from Bengaluru to Kacheguda will help those travelling to Hyderabad and also in Kalyana-Karnataka region".
