Vandals trash new houses in Broxburn after stealing keys from site office

Vandals have caused extensive damage to newly-built houses at a development in West Lothian.

The Lovell site on Scott Road, Broxburn suffered a break-in at the weekend where keys were stolen from the office.

The vandals were able to access the houses and cause a large amount of damage, as well as taking power tools from the office.

Police are now trying to find those responsible.

Constable Kirsten Young said: "The developers are obviously incredibly frustrated and disappointed that many of their recently built homes have been targeted and now require considerable repair.

Public urged to look out for missing teen Caitlin Cowie, who might be in West Lothian

"We believe that this damage has been caused by a group of people and would urge anyone who remembers seeing anyone acting suspiciously in the area over the weekend to contact police immediately.

"Likewise, if you have any other information that you think is relevant to this investigation then please also get in touch."
