Vandals target Glasgow underpass with 'sick' racist graffiti

Vandals have targeted an underpass near Glasgow city centre with racist graffiti.

The disturbing scrawls were discovered by a member of the public this morning while walking through the underpass at Garscube Road, close to Cowcaddens Subway station.

The letters 'KKK' have been scrawled in spray paint on a wall while 'F*** Yer Blacks' has been written on a pillar within the underpass.

Russell Abercrombie, who made the shocking discovery, told Glasgow Live : "It made me sick when I saw it."

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 10.35am on Thursday, 16 July, 2020 a report was made to police about offensive graffiti written on an underpass in Garscube Road, Glasgow.

"Enquiries are ongoing."

Glasgow City Council has been approached for comment.
